I still owe myself a Day 3, but I couldn’t come up with a half-decent idea for the prompt “Roast” so I haven’t finished that one yet.
I could probably get that last Inktober drawing done tonight if I stayed up late, but I've been doing that too often of late, so I'm going to call it a night and finish it tomorrow. It's going reasonably well, though!
In the meantime, I'll post this, which is where they'll live in my portfolio on a more permanent basis.
That's 3 done, and just 1 left to finish off on this set.
Entering the home stretch!
Do do dee do doo...
Next step done. I think I'll do the lines and flats of the last ogre before coming back and doing the final colors.
Been letting myself get behind on my ogres!
Should've finished this sooner than I did, but at least it's done now.
I thought about doing something with knotwork, but decided a visual pun would be more fun.
Don't startle her!
I actually finished this a couple hours ago, but I forgot to post it.
The dragon itself got sort of strangely tribal. I didn't altogether plan on that when I started this one, but I found myself liking it.
Was pretty busy for a lot of today with non-art stuff, but I did manage to get this one done under the wire.
Didn't QUITE make it on the technical 4th, but I came close!
I blame it on letting this one get a bit out of hand.
I didn't find out about this until yesterday, so I'm playing a bit of catch-up, but I thought it would be fun to participate. Here's my drawings for the first 2 days of the month, and I'll try to get up to date over the next couple days if I can fit it in.
For my part, I thought I'd try to stick to a singular theme for all my efforts, and since I've been wanting to draw more dragons lately, that seemed like a good one.
I'm sorta cheating a tiny bit with these - I'm drawing these in Illustrator rather than on paper with traditional ink, or even using a program like Sketchbook or Photoshop that mimics ink. I am using basically the same "inking" technique that I use on the Mythic Portal tokens.
Decided to finish these in a slightly different order than I started them.
As promised, here's the complete set. Overall, I think these turned out really well!
And that's the last of them! Tomorrow, I'll have the permanent portfolio item collecting all 6 in the set together up.
Also, happy birthday to me!
