Here's the complete set!
Aaaand there's the set.
You never know what!
So juicy sweet!
This is the last one. This is actually version 2 - Mythic Portal asked me to boost the size of the buckler a bit. I'd initially drawn it as one of those really small, fist-sized ones. I also tweaked the net one after I posted the first version sketch - you'll be able to see how when I get to the finished lines.
All done and added to the portfolio
He does seem vexed, doesn't he?
Still not quite happy with those shoulder spikes.
Oh look, another orc!
A warrior from the neighboring country in the forthcoming dark fantasy project.
The orcs just keep on comin'
Hrm, still not happy with the spikes on the near shoulder.
As promised, here's the complete set. Overall, I think these turned out really well!
And here he is all tatted-up! Half done with this set now.
Lines for #3.
Wasn't quite able to get this done for Friday - the legs still needed work when I ran out of steam - so I decided to hold off on posting it until now.
Last of the hobgoblin sketches! Not sure what I'll be posting next, whether I'll start in on the finished lines for these, or shift focus back to Whispers of Heaven illustrations - I'll be working on both, but not sure which will be done first.
Just your average tusked, blue-skinned, pointy-eared warrior, flourishing a cutlass and battle axe while roaring in overwhelming rage.
I actually had to mostly draw this guy twice, because I realized about 2/3 of the way through the sketch that the angle and pose I had him in would take up far too much horizontal space to fit into the necessary square space of a the final token product and still be at the same scale as all the others.
I probably won't post anything new for the next few days, as I'm going to be out of town for the remainder of the week. More when I get back!
Here's the rough for #2 in the set.
