All done and added to the portfolio
I think I was right - this one did turn out pretty well.
I think this one's going to look really cool when it's done.
Circling back around to the Mythic Portal tokens.
I've been working on these off and on for way too long, and of course this is only the beginning, but here's the first sketch for the next round of Roll20 tokens.
As promised, here's the complete set. Overall, I think these turned out really well!
Thought I might do each token to completion, rather than do the whole set in phases this time.
As with the rest of the set, I'm really saving the tattoos for the final coloring phase - the ones I had on the sketch were more of a sample for Mythic Portal - I'm not sure the finished ones will look like that.
The first of the hobgoblin token set. The final version is going to have more of the tattooing, and it may look a bit different than what we've got here, but the tools for making that kind of thing are better in Illustrator than Sketchbook Pro, so I'm going to do those on the final version instead of the rough.
We're categorizing this one as a ranger, since he's also got the knives.
I made a final tweak to the pups before posting this - the guys at Mythic Portal felt it wasn't quite clear that the top-most one was jumping on top of the other two when he was so much higher up, so I brought him down and adjusted his shadow some.
I tried out a somewhat different process with this set of tokens than I did with the previous 2. I wanted to see if it would be more efficient to do each stage of the set collectively, rather than doing each one from start to finish - I've been posting progress on them as I went along. Unfortunately, there were several external hiccups over the course of my time with these, so it's hard to say which method is better, time-wise. Regardless of what I do next time around in this respect, I think I'll continue posting in-progress pics.
Next up is going to be a set of kobolds! With those done, this first pack of tokens will be complete, and they can finally go up for sale!
Been swamped with other things the last few days, but I was able to finish the flats for the first of the gnolls this morning.
