He does seem vexed, doesn't he?
I think I was right - this one did turn out pretty well.
Oh look, another orc!
The orcs just keep on comin'
This idea's been bouncing around the back of my head for a while. I probably should've gotten it done a little further in advance of Valentine's Day than this, but at least it isn't after the holiday.

I think this one's going to look really cool when it's done.
Done at last, and only 4 days late! Since I started the challenge almost that late and caught up, I'm still sort of on time, right?
So, as I intimated before, this is a portrait of my kids in their Halloween costumes for this year. I'm biased, but I do think they're pretty darned adorable.
When I set out to make this last piece in the challenge, I knew it meant I'd be a day late - I could not get the reference photos of my kids in costume until the end of the day, after all, and that meant not even starting until after dinner at best. So I decided to wait until November 1st to begin. Then, to do it justice, it took longer than I planned. Last night, I was hard at work on it until close to 1am, and concluded I should stop and finish it in the morning - I estimated I had a couple of hours remaining, but maybe less. Unfortunately, I've also been dealing with an extremely persistent cold my whole family caught a couple weeks ago, and last night the coughing kept me awake for nearly 3 more hours. Taking pity on me, my lovely wife let me stay in bed come morning, and took the kids off to school for me, so I slept most of the morning away. When I finally sat down to finish, I discovered that Windows had seen fit to reboot itself, and the last ~4 hours of work I'd put in were gone. I could've sworn I'd saved - several times - but it seems not. So instead of finishing it off, I had to redo about a third of it first. Still though, I'm really pleased with the final result.
I decided to do another visual pun. I had another idea for the straightforward meaning, but it would have been better suited to color, so I set it aside.
When I mentioned to my wife what today's prompt was, she told me I needed to make sure it would be something I could show my kids, so I kept it clean.
I got this one finished several hours late - I was up until 4am before it was done - but I'm still not behind! I decided I'd better go to bed rather than spend the ~half hour it takes to post the finished product everywhere.
Today's going to be a busy day, and I'm not at all sure yet what I'm going to draw, so we'll see when I post the one for the 29th.
Very much in the home stretch now.
I actually wound up with an unexpectedly small measure of time for drawing today, so I kept it pretty simple.
Closing in on the home stretch for this challenge!
I've been seeing a lot of other participants in Inktober saying that the prompts are getting harder to draw as we come to the end. I think there's some truth to that, for whatever reason, but for my part, I feel like I'm producing more interesting drawings as a result.
This one wound up being a weird mix of drama and whimsy.
That's 3 done, and just 1 left to finish off on this set.
Today wasn't a great day for drawing, but here's what I managed to put together.
Getting over that cold now, but still not 100%. Still, here's today's drawing. Works both as a direct reference to the prompt word, and as a play on it, by suggesting Imperator Furiosa from Mad Max.
Had to keep this one simple today - that cold I mentioned yesterday got worse, not better, and I didn't have much energy today.
Entering the home stretch!
