I decided to do another visual pun. I had another idea for the straightforward meaning, but it would have been better suited to color, so I set it aside.
When I mentioned to my wife what today's prompt was, she told me I needed to make sure it would be something I could show my kids, so I kept it clean.
I got this one finished several hours late - I was up until 4am before it was done - but I'm still not behind! I decided I'd better go to bed rather than spend the ~half hour it takes to post the finished product everywhere.
Today's going to be a busy day, and I'm not at all sure yet what I'm going to draw, so we'll see when I post the one for the 29th.
Very much in the home stretch now.
I actually wound up with an unexpectedly small measure of time for drawing today, so I kept it pretty simple.
Closing in on the home stretch for this challenge!
I've been seeing a lot of other participants in Inktober saying that the prompts are getting harder to draw as we come to the end. I think there's some truth to that, for whatever reason, but for my part, I feel like I'm producing more interesting drawings as a result.
This one wound up being a weird mix of drama and whimsy.
Today wasn't a great day for drawing, but here's what I managed to put together.
Getting over that cold now, but still not 100%. Still, here's today's drawing. Works both as a direct reference to the prompt word, and as a play on it, by suggesting Imperator Furiosa from Mad Max.
Had to keep this one simple today - that cold I mentioned yesterday got worse, not better, and I didn't have much energy today.
I caught a cold today, and drawing at all was a bit of a struggle, what with the sneezing and nose-blowing every couple minutes. It didn't turn out as well I'd have liked, but I've run out of energy, so I declare it done.
Another more cartoon-ey one this time. This was a lot of fun.
As is probably obvious to most, inspired by a D&D gold dragon. I've always thought the notion of how their wings function to be nifty, even if I wasn't as much of a fan of the rest of their design.
Happy little fat dragon!
Had a couple false starts on this one, but it turned out pretty well, in the end. I finished it about an hour after midnight, so decided to wait until morning to post.
As I mentioned yesterday, I had to skip posting 10/13 on the day, but I did work on it, and now it's done!
I skipped ahead again. We had company over yesterday, and the image I had in mind for October 13th is a bit more time consuming, so it's not done yet. This one could be dashed off relatively quickly, though, so I decided to go ahead and do it first.
Finally got this one all the way done. I think it turned out really well!
I did finish this last night, but it was late when I did, and I was super-tired, so I decided to wait until this morning to actually post it.
